Turkish Airlines Denied Me to Board
On August 7th, I was denied boarding for my Turkish Airlines flight scheduled at 19:15. When I contacted customer service, they informed me that it appeared as though I had missed the flight. However, I was at the airport and was told that the gate had closed and I could not board. Meanwhile, other passengers were allowed to board the flight, but I was not.
I traveled a long distance with my child, and since there is no transportation available in Sivas after 7 PM, we were stranded. I have never experienced such an inconvenience. Other passengers were supposed to fly at 5 PM, but their flight was delayed until 7 PM, and they were also not allowed to board. Despite not being allowed to board, we lost our money.
I purchased the ticket knowing it was non-refundable and non-changeable, but I was still denied boarding even though I was at the gate on time. Other passengers were allowed to board while we were left behind. I do not accept this and demand that the necessary actions be taken. I waited at the airport after being told the gate was closed, and the flight, which was supposed to depart at 19:15, actually took off at 19:45.
I could have boarded the flight within those 30 minutes. Turkish Airlines is always our preferred airline, and I expect this issue to be resolved.
