I Experienced Multiple Flight Delays and Poor Customer Service with Turkish Airlines
I had a flight ticket with THY from Istanbul to Izmir. I experienced delays on both ends. My 22:10 flight was gradually delayed to 00:40. Since transportation stops in the middle of the night, I had to spend an additional flight fare on a taxi. On the return trip, there was another delay. When I asked the staff at the entrance to transfer me to an earlier flight if there were available seats, they told me to request a transfer at the gate. I went and was third in line, but they only took one person. Then we stood in line for over an hour for the next flight to request a transfer. It shouldn't be so difficult to give a ticket with an available seat to a passenger. These delays make me never want to choose THY again. (The weather was perfectly clear, no information on why the delay occurred)
