I Experienced Inconvenience Due To Turkish Airlines Staff Negligence
On 20.01.2024, after purchasing a ticket from Turkish Airlines for a flight from Denizli to Istanbul, I did not receive any message or information about my flight. I arrived at the airport at 08:33 for my 09:30 flight. I wanted to get information about my flight and its departure time from the staff there. However, without even looking at me, they said, 'There is still time for your flight, an announcement will be made.' When I went back half an hour later to get information about the flight, the staff member directed me to another person with a dismissive attitude, and that person told me I hadn't checked in. No information was given to me about this during my first inquiry, and I hadn't received any prior messages. As someone who doesn't travel by plane frequently, it can't be expected that I would be aware of such a requirement. The staff at Denizli Cardak Airport were very indifferent and seemed unwilling to communicate. Despite repeatedly stating that I had an important appointment to catch, they dismissed me with 'unfortunately.' In the end, when I realized I wouldn't be allowed in, I had to cancel my ticket. Only ₺19 of my ticket was refunded. I never expected to be treated this way by Turkish Airlines, and this situation left me very disappointed. Additionally, the travel cost to the airport, which is far from the center and many places, adds to the frustration. We passengers are paying both financially and emotionally for their lack of information.
