I Experienced Inconvenience Due To My Broken Luggage On the Flight Of Turkish Airlines
I had a flight on Saturday, January 27, 2024. The suitcase that I handed over to the baggage unit in brand new and sturdy condition was returned to me deformed, crushed, and with a broken wheel. Immediately after receiving it, I reported the situation to the relevant personnel. The gentleman in charge stated that the wheel could be repaired but there was nothing they could do about the other damages, and that this was the procedure. He took a report and mentioned that I would be contacted within the day. I was not given a tracking number for the report. I was sent home with a broken wheel, feeling aggrieved. Besides the wheel being repairable, my suitcase, which I handed over in brand new and sturdy condition, cannot be returned to me with severe damage all over. I have another trip tomorrow, and when I contacted the relevant people, they told me to have the suitcase repaired myself and send the invoice. I am traveling tomorrow, and it is not fair that I have to go back and forth for damage caused by you. I do not accept this situation and will defend my rights to the end. If necessary, I will file a complaint with Consumer Rights. I demand that this grievance be resolved and a new suitcase be delivered to me by the time of my trip tomorrow.
