Trip.com Refused Simple Hotel Date Change Request

I made a one-night hotel reservation through Trip.com for the Novotel Zurich Airport Messe in Zurich, Switzerland. The intended check-in date was January 31, 2026, with check-out on February 1, 2026. However, I mistakenly booked the stay for January 30, 2026 check-in and January 31, 2026 check-out. I realized my mistake almost immediately and contacted Trip.com in writing within approximately one minute of completing the reservation to request a date change.

My reservation number is 1638317871811053, and I paid the full amount for the one-night stay. My request was simply to shift the reservation by one day; I did not ask for a cancellation or a refund. Despite this, about 40 hours later, I was informed that my request had been denied without any reasonable explanation.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Trip.com due to the delayed response and the rejection of such a simple and good-faith date change request. I urgently request that my reservation dates be corrected to January 31, 2026 check-in and February 1, 2026 check-out. Otherwise, I will exercise all of my legal rights and file complaints with the appropriate authorities.
