I purchased an Air Montenegro ticket through Trip.com about a week before my scheduled flight from Istanbul to Podgorica on November 6, 2025. However, shortly before my trip, Montenegro suddenly introduced a visa requirement for travelers from my country. When I contacted the consulate, they confirmed that my visa would not be issued in time for the flight. Since this change was completely beyond my control, I expected a refund from Air Montenegro, as other airlines have provided in similar situations.
I paid around $150 for the ticket using my credit card. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reach Air Montenegro by any means, and Trip.com refused to help, claiming the issue must be resolved directly with the airline. My online cancellation and refund requests were also denied without any valid explanation or flexibility.
As a result, I lost my money, my travel plans were canceled, and I experienced significant inconvenience and financial loss.
I request that Air Montenegro process a full refund for my ticket and take responsibility for addressing this issue, as the situation arose from government policy changes, not passenger fault.
