I Demand Refund for Istanbul–Belgrade Flight After Trip.com Ignored My Dual Citizenship Issue
On July 22, 2025, I had a roundtrip flight booked via Trip.com (Reservation No: 1638314249081249) from Istanbul to Belgrade and Belgrade to Podgorica under the name H** M******. Due to my dual citizenship, I encountered unexpected issues at Istanbul Airport immigration and was unable to board my flight. I immediately tried contacting Trip.com customer service, but could not reach anyone—despite multiple attempts.
As a result, my ticket was forfeited, and no refund was issued. I also had a return flight booked for July 26, 2025, which was equally affected. Since the problem arose from immigration—not due to my own negligence—I find it unacceptable that Trip.com refuses to refund my tickets.
If this issue is not resolved promptly with a full refund, I will be forced to escalate the matter to Consumer Protection authorities. I expect Trip.com to acknowledge my situation and offer a fair resolution.
