SunExpress Charged Extra for Baggage and Assigned Uncomfortable Seat
On February 20, 2025, I flew from Paris to İzmir with SunExpress, and my experience was a complete disappointment. When I went to purchase baggage allowance, I was shocked to see that I had already been charged €80. Since I had already passed through passport control, I contacted customer service for assistance. They dismissed my concerns, stating that because I checked in online, the airport counter charges €10 per kilogram for baggage.
Additionally, despite traveling alone, I was randomly assigned a middle seat, making my flight even more uncomfortable. When I requested a seat change, they refused to help. By the end of my trip, I had paid the price of a business-class ticket but endured a terrible flight experience.
I demand a refund for the excessive baggage charge and an explanation as to why SunExpress treats its passengers so poorly. This airline ruined my vacation, and I will think twice before booking with them again.
