On July 14, 2025, I had a confirmed ticket with SunExpress for the Zonguldak–Dortmund flight, scheduled to depart at 12:45 PM. Due to an unexpected flat tire, I arrived at the airport slightly later than planned. However, I was still at the gate by 12:10 PM, well before departure. At that time, boarding was still in progress, and passengers were actively being let onto the plane. Despite this, both I and three others were denied boarding without valid justification.

What made the situation worse was the rude and dismissive behavior of the two SunExpress ground staff members on duty at international departures: E* Z***** and B** Y********. They showed absolutely no empathy or willingness to assist. When I politely explained the urgency of my travel and that I had a work obligation, they simply repeated, “You’re late. Call customer service,” and walked away, ignoring me completely.

Because SunExpress has no other flights departing from Zonguldak, I was forced to travel by bus to Istanbul, then purchase a new flight ticket out of pocket. This last-minute change cost me both time and money, causing serious inconvenience and financial strain.

I demand a full refund of my additional expenses, including the replacement flight and bus fare. I also request that SunExpress investigate the conduct of their ground personnel and respond formally to my complaint. Customers deserve timely service and respectful treatment, especially when there’s still time to board.
