As soon as I realized the situation, I immediately contacted my bank. However, I was told repeatedly that since the transaction was still in the provision stage, they could not process my dispute. Despite my calls and objections, no action was taken.
Even if there was a trial membership involved, this amount should not have been deducted without my explicit approval and SMS confirmation. This points to a serious security and infrastructure issue.
