Nike Shoes Make Squeaking Noise and Intersport Rejects Refund
On June 22, 2026, I purchased a pair of Nike sneakers from the Intersport store at Hilltown Shopping Mall in Istanbul for approximately $85.
From the very first time I wore the shoes, I noticed an annoying squeaking noise coming from the sole of the right shoe whenever I walked. Although the product has no visible signs of damage or deformation, this persistent noise makes the shoes uncomfortable to wear and prevents me from using them properly.
As soon as I noticed the issue, I took the shoes back to the store where I had purchased them. I personally demonstrated the problem to a store employee by walking in front of them and letting them hear the noise. I even offered to attach a video to my complaint to clearly demonstrate the sound. However, the employee refused to accept a video, stating that only photographs could be uploaded, and accepted the shoes for inspection without it.
Today, I received an SMS informing me that my claim had been rejected because the shoes were allegedly deformed due to external factors. However, from the very beginning, I clearly explained that there was no deformation or physical damage to the product. My only complaint was the persistent squeaking noise coming from the sole of the right shoe, which makes the shoes difficult to use. The employee who accepted the shoes for inspection personally witnessed and heard the issue.
I have been experiencing this problem since the day I purchased the shoes, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the way my complaint has been handled. I request an appropriate resolution, either through a full refund of the purchase price or by providing a store credit for the same amount.
