On September 4, 2025, after using the Smallpdf free trial, I discovered that my credit card had been charged $108 for an annual subscription. I was not given any prior notice or reminder about the upcoming charge. Once I realized this, I immediately cancelled my subscription through my account.
Despite cancelling, the $108 payment has not been refunded, and I have not received any follow-up communication from Smallpdf regarding the cancellation or refund process. My account was registered under n*@gmail.com**, and the charge was applied directly to my credit card.
I have not yet contacted Smallpdf support or my bank, but I consider this charge unauthorized because it was applied automatically without my explicit approval or notification at the end of the trial period.
I am requesting:
A full refund of $108,
Written confirmation that my account is permanently cancelled,
Assurance that no further unauthorized charges will be made.
Smallpdf must ensure that free trial users are properly notified before auto-renewals, and refunds should be promptly processed when users cancel immediately after an unwanted charge.
