On March 9, 2025, we bought a pair of Skechers Dream Racer - Wings Brite S 303055L PK.TQ kids' sneakers for our daughter from the Eskişehir Espark Skechers store. It hasn’t even been three full months, and the shoes are already in horrible condition, as shown in the photos. We bought them because of the light-up feature, but now only one shoe lights up, and the other doesn’t work at all.
What’s worse, the front of the shoes looks like they’ve been worn for three years, not three months. Yet these were barely worn—our daughter wears a different pair at school all day. These Skechers were only used while going to and from school. They were never machine-washed, only gently wiped with a damp cloth on occasion.
We returned to the same store on May 29, 2025, where they said the shoes would be sent in for inspection. Today, we received a message saying, “No manufacturer defect was found.”
How can this not be a production issue? If a child’s shoe that’s barely used deteriorates this badly in three months, then what exactly is Skechers quality control doing? If we hadn’t bought it directly from the store, we would’ve assumed it was a fake.
This was our first time buying Skechers for our child—and definitely the last. We are deeply disappointed and feel completely let down by the brand’s lack of accountability.
We demand a full resolution. If Skechers fails to make this right, I will be taking the issue to the Consumer Arbitration Board without hesitation.
