On December 22, 2024, I ordered the Skechers Skech-Air Ventura – Cataclysm model from the official Skechers online store. I wore the shoes only two or three times a week, for a total of no more than four to five months, and never during the winter. The shoes have never been exposed to snow or rain. Despite that, the soles of both shoes cracked. The fact that both pairs broke in the same spot, even though I wore them lightly and infrequently, clearly indicates a manufacturing defect.
I reported the issue to the company, and the product was examined under warranty. However, I received a response under claim number 1-524004, stating that “no manufacturing defect was found” and that my request could not be approved. I absolutely do not accept this conclusion—having the exact same damage on both shoes cannot be a coincidence.
I believe the shoes cannot be repaired properly. Therefore, I request either a replacement product or a refund based on the current price of $147, as the pair I originally purchased for $114 has since increased in price.
