I purchased a Skechers Slide In shoe from the Akasya AVM store, and within a very short time, a hole formed on the inner side of the right shoe. I can confidently say this issue is not due to user error — I always take great care of my shoes, and this damage appeared unexpectedly without any misuse.
I submitted a warranty claim (Case No: 1-495044), but to my disappointment, it was rejected with no solution offered. What frustrates me most is that the left shoe has no such damage, which clearly proves this is not a usage-related issue. Even the staff member who received the product at the store initially commented that it did not appear to be a result of user misuse. Yet, the final report contradicted that completely.
As a long-time Skechers customer — with at least 20 pairs purchased by my family and me over the years — I’m incredibly disappointed. The implication that this was somehow my fault is not only inaccurate but also insulting. It reflects poorly on a brand that claims to care about its customers.
I respectfully request Skechers to re-evaluate this claim honestly and fairly, and to either replace the product or issue a refund. I should not be held responsible for a manufacturing defect that is clearly visible and confirmed by the store personnel themselves. I expect my loyalty as a customer to be valued, not dismissed.
