Around 8 months ago, I purchased a pair of Skechers D’lux Journey shoes from the Marmara Park store in Esenyurt, paying ₺4900. Despite not using the shoes heavily — only for light, everyday wear — both sides of the shoes have developed significant splitting and separation. For a product in this price range, this level of wear in such a short time is completely unacceptable.
I returned the shoes to the store under the warranty claim process, expecting a fair inspection. Instead, my request was flatly rejected, with no detailed technical evaluation or proper explanation. The damage is clearly being wrongly blamed on user error, even though it’s obvious to me that this is either a material or manufacturing defect.
For a global brand like Skechers to refuse responsibility for a ₺4900 shoe that couldn’t hold up for even a year is deeply disappointing. This is not what I expect from a company that markets itself as a quality-focused footwear brand.
I am requesting that Skechers repair, replace, or refund the product under warranty. If this issue is not resolved, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter by filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board. I urge Skechers to take this issue seriously and act in favor of customer satisfaction.
