Dissatisfied with Skechers' Customer Service Because I Can't Return a Gifted Item

Skechers customer service recently gave me a product as a gift, but it turned out to be defective. Despite paying the difference for a replacement, I've had issues with their customer service. Instead of simply allowing me to exchange the product, they continue to request invoice information, which I do not have because it was a gift. I understand the significance of invoices, but Skechers should accept responsibility for their own product and allow me to exchange it without difficulty. It's infuriating to have to jump through hoops and explain the situation over and over. In the meantime, I tried using the product, but the problem persists. I'm hoping Skechers will take the necessary steps to make the exchange process easier for those who receive gifts.
