Sixt Zurich Wrongful CHF 1000 Damage Claim and Deposit Withholding

50

On July 23, 2025, I rented a car from Sixt at Zurich Airport, Switzerland through Booking.com (Reservation No: 783590114). For the rental, I also purchased full protection insurance via Rentalcover.com. When I picked up the vehicle, I noticed scratches on the rims and reported them at the time of delivery, though I am not sure whether they were properly recorded.

After returning the vehicle, I received a notice stating that I must pay CHF 1000 by August 22. So far, I have not made any payment, only received this demand. For the rental itself, I already paid ₺31,000 and a CHF 522 deposit. Despite emailing Sixt customer service, I have not received any resolution.

I strongly object to being unfairly charged for pre-existing scratches and to having my deposit withheld. I demand that this unjust damage claim be canceled and that my CHF 522 deposit be refunded immediately.
