Royal Caribbean Changed My China & Japan Cruise to China & Korea Without Notice

On October 24, 2025, we booked the March 6, 2026 China & Japan cruise for two people through Savarona Istanbul, a Royal Caribbean authorized representative. We paid by bank transfer, with a total price of €2,750 per person. We specifically chose this cruise because of its China & Japan itinerary.

However, on January 26, 2026, we happened to discover that the itinerary had been changed from China & Japan to China & Korea without any prior notice or communication from the company.

We consider it completely unacceptable and highly damaging to customer trust for such a fundamental element as the cruise itinerary to be changed without informing customers, particularly for a trip that was specifically purchased because of its original destinations.

When we contacted the Savarona Istanbul branch about the issue, we were told that they could only provide a refund and that they could not offer any discount or other form of compensation. We do not want to cancel the cruise and simply receive a refund. We made our travel plans and expectations based on the original itinerary we purchased.

Our expectation is that Royal Caribbean either provide the original China & Japan itinerary that we purchased or, if that is genuinely impossible, offer a substantial discount or reasonable compensation to remedy the inconvenience and disappointment caused.

We request that Royal Caribbean and its Savarona Istanbul representative urgently review this matter and provide an appropriate solution. The itinerary should not have been changed without prior notification, and simply offering a refund after the change does not adequately address the inconvenience caused to customers who specifically purchased the cruise based on the original China & Japan itinerary.
