On April 20, 2025, I purchased a Philips LatteGo 4441 coffee machine via Trendyol.com.tr. Following the instructions in the user manual, I washed the LatteGo milk frother in the dishwasher twice. After the second wash, I noticed visible microcracks on the acrylic parts inside the milk frothing mechanism.
The product is clearly labeled as dishwasher safe, and yet structural degradation appeared after only two uses. This indicates insufficient material durability or a manufacturing defect. As a materials and mechanical engineer, I can confirm that these microcracks will eventually grow, compromising the function of the frother and rendering it unusable.
In addition, I work in the after-sales warranty services department of an international company and am highly familiar with consumer rights, warranty law, and regulatory obligations. There is no legal or technical basis to classify this as user error. Philips must take full responsibility for the product’s premature failure.
I request an immediate replacement of the faulty milk frother under warranty. If not resolved, I am prepared to pursue this through official consumer protection channels. Please address this issue promptly and uphold your brand’s promise of quality.
