MediaMarkt Refused a Simple Customer Request After My Samsung Service

Today, I visited the MediaMarkt store at Mersin Forum Mall to have the screen protector on my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra replaced under my subscription plan, which includes unlimited screen protector replacements. During the process, I was asked to remove my phone case, which I did, and the screen protector replacement was completed without any issues.

After the service was finished, I simply asked a staff member responsible for additional services if I could have a tissue or cloth to wipe and clean my phone case before putting it back on. However, my request was refused. I was not offered a dry tissue, a wet wipe, or even one of the microfiber cloths that employees regularly use. There was even an unused cloth nearby, yet I was told that I could not use it, with explanations such as, “Unfortunately, we cannot use that for cleaning cases.”

What made this experience even more disappointing is that I have previously received assistance with similar requests at other MediaMarkt locations without any difficulty. As a result of this refusal, I was unable to properly clean my phone and complete the maintenance of my device.

Considering the amount of money I pay for my subscription and related services, I find it unreasonable that a customer would be denied something as simple as a tissue or cloth. The attitude displayed by the staff and the unwillingness to assist with such a basic request were disappointing and made me feel undervalued as a customer.

I request that MediaMarkt review the conduct of the staff working in the screen protector replacement and service area at the Mersin Forum Mall location. I believe employees should be reminded to provide a more helpful, customer-focused, and respectful service experience. No customer should feel embarrassed or dismissed over a simple request, and I expect a higher level of care and attention for customers who pay for ongoing subscription services.
