Metin2 Players Demand Action Against Bots and Cheaters

We, as players and users of Metin2, a game operated by Gameforge in Türkiye, share several common complaints about the game. The long-standing problem of cheating and botting remains unresolved and has become increasingly difficult to control, particularly on open-access servers. These cheaters create a sense of unfairness and distrust among players, disrupt the in-game economy, and give themselves an unfair competitive advantage.

Players feel that Dragon Coins (the game's premium currency), which they purchase with real money, no longer provide the value they expect. They also share the feeling that the hours they have invested and the effort they have put into the game are going to waste. This situation suggests that the digital service provided by Gameforge is not being adequately protected.

Gameforge's continued failure to introduce an anti-cheat system has pushed users to the breaking point on the official game forums. Despite hundreds of complaints reportedly appearing every day on the official forums and Discord channels, Gameforge appears unresponsive to these concerns.

Other major issues frequently raised by players include freezing, lag, server crashes, inadequate efforts to improve server infrastructure, and the loss of in-game resources resulting from these problems. As players, we demand that Gameforge take swift, concrete action to implement anti-cheat protection and make server-side improvements. It saddens all of us that a game we once loved and still continue to play is known for problems that have remained unresolved for years.
