Kobo eBook Refund Complaint
My complaint to D&R from a week ago remains unresolved, and now I have to involve Kobo in this matter.
Here's my new comment on today's D&R complaint:
Within 5 minutes of posting my complaint today, D&R customer service called me. They conveyed that they couldn't exchange the product due to it being out of stock and that the refund process would proceed, stating they couldn't do anything else and would close the complaint record. I reiterated that I don't accept such a refund situation and emphasized that both companies (the manufacturer - Kobo, and the distributor - D&R) are responsible. According to consumer protection laws, if the product cannot be repaired or serviced, it should be covered under warranty for the duration of the warranty period and for an additional 5 (or 10) years. If this support is not provided, a replacement with an equivalent or superior model should be provided.
I do not accept a refund and reiterate my justified complaint. I will initiate the necessary processes regarding this matter on Monday, and I invite the authorities to take action in good faith from today onwards.
