Kobo eBook Turns Out to Be PDF, Not EPUB – No Help from Support
I've been a long-time Kobo eBook user, and a couple of weeks ago, I purchased a Kobo EPUB book from D&R. When I downloaded it onto my Kobo, it wasn’t in EPUB format as expected but resembled more of a PDF. The font size is unchangeable, making the tiny text unreadable. I first tried to resolve this through online support, but I kept getting the same repetitive responses from a bot. I then emailed support several times, only to receive irrelevant replies, like "Kobo doesn’t convert PDFs to EPUBs," which had nothing to do with my issue.
Here’s my next course of action: I’ll be filing a complaint against D&R with Kobo, then reporting both Kobo and D&R to the author. After that, I’ll escalate the issue to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, followed by legal action. It's absurd that such a low-cost purchase is causing this much frustration!
