I booked a room at Weignart Istanbul via Hotels.com for March 26–27, 2025. However, the training I was supposed to attend in Istanbul was moved online, so I needed to cancel my reservation. I called the hotel 9–10 times, but no one answered. Eventually, I reached them via WhatsApp, and they told me they couldn’t cancel it—only Hotels.com could handle that.
When I tried to cancel through Hotels.com, the site just redirected me to a virtual assistant that does absolutely nothing. There was no cancellation button, no support agent, no way to proceed. Now I’m stuck, charged for a stay I no longer need, and neither the hotel nor Hotels.com is taking responsibility.
I expect Hotels.com and Weignart Istanbul to own up to this failure and process my cancellation and refund (₺) immediately. Customers shouldn’t be left in limbo because of unresponsive systems and finger-pointing.
