Hotels.com Unauthorized Reservation Cancellation and Poor Customer Service



I have a complaint against Hotels.com because they are not officially registered with the Ministry of Tourism. Here's the situation: a week before my vacation, I received an email stating that my reservation was canceled. Then, I started emailing them, as phone communication was impossible. They likely use translation tools and provide pre-set responses.
Initially, they claimed I had canceled my reservation. It took me about 4 hours to explain that I did not make such a request. Then they suggested I rebook the same place and they would cover the difference. Later, they limited this to $100. After a long struggle (4 hours), they agreed and convinced me to rebook the same room at the same hotel. They promised to cover the full price difference.

There is no other competent and reasonable person to contact besides the virtual assistant. When you call the phone number they provide, you reach a call center. I have complained to the Consumer Court, the Ministry of Tourism, etc.
