Hotels.com Fails to Honor Hotel Reservation

I booked and paid for a hotel reservation several months ago. Last week, the establishment contacted me, asking to cancel due to a system error, claiming I secured a reservation at an exceptionally low rate and couldn't stay at that price during the Eid holiday. When attempting to reach hotels.com customer service, I was redirected to a representative from Expedia, a UK-based company. For the past 8 days, I've been consistently contacted from the numbers (+44 707, +44 79995, and +44 79695) without any fruitful outcome after hours of phone conversations. I am repeatedly told to wait a few more days, and they will arrange another hotel for me. Recently, they found a hotel, assuring me no additional payment is required. However, due to a system glitch, they claim the payment needs to be made from my card, and they will refund it later. Skeptical of potential deception, I refused such an arrangement. They assured they would call me later and ended the conversation. I spoke with representatives from Expedia, including Mr. M**, Ms. H***, and Ms. H***, but despite three weeks remaining until my accommodation date, I haven't reached a resolution. The ticket number provided is 1149**614. I urgently request the resolution of my grievance and the provision of accommodation at the same location on the same date. Otherwise, I am determined to take this matter to the Consumer Court without hesitation. Your attention is appreciated.
