On April 9, 2025, I purchased a flight ticket from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta through Gotogate.com. On the same day, I went to Sabiha Gökçen Airport but was unable to fly due to a visa issue. I immediately called Gotogate for help. A male representative initially answered and said he could help rebook my ticket for a later date. I accepted the offer, but the call disconnected before we could finalize anything.
When I called back, a different female agent answered and completely dismissed my request. She claimed my ticket was forfeited and there was absolutely no way to rebook or get a refund, even though I explained that a previous agent had offered a solution.
Because of Gotogate’s lack of follow-through, I ended up losing ₺45,000 worth of travel expenses, including my connecting flight from Jakarta, prepaid hotel bookings, and other arrangements. It’s appalling that one employee promises help, only for another to shut it down with no accountability.
Gotogate caused me immense financial and emotional damage, and I demand a full investigation and compensation for the misleading information and complete lack of support. Avoid this platform at all costs—they leave you stranded when things go wrong.
