I’m filing a complaint about the disrespectful and careless attitude I experienced during my support process related to my Epic Games account. I’m currently in Moscow temporarily for a professional training program, and I normally live in Burhaniye, Balıkesir, Turkey. I want to make payments on my account in Turkish lira as I always have, but because of my current location, I was told I must pay in rubles.
I explained to the support team in detail—over two paragraphs—that I’m only in Moscow temporarily, that I do not live here, and that I’ll be here for about 3–4 months for training. I sent the required documents, including my proof of residence, and they asked for email verification, which I also provided. Despite all of that, the reply I received said I have to pay using the currency of the place where I’m located. It felt like an automated response, as if nothing I wrote was even read, and since the chat was closed, I didn’t even have a chance to respond.
Even though I clearly said I don’t live here, my explanation and documents were ignored, and on top of that the chat was ended unilaterally. That came across as openly disrespectful and dismissive. After using this platform for a long time, I expected at least a response that showed someone had actually read my message and treated me with basic respect.
I request that Epic Games issue a formal apology regarding this experience and that the support team handle cases like this with more care by genuinely reading and evaluating what users write. I also want my account to be adjusted so I can make payments in Turkish lira, taking into account that I reside in Turkey.
