eDreams Charged Me €190 for a Hostel Despite Trial Claim
Last night I was looking for a hotel in Venice Mestre on Google and found the A&O Hostel Venezia Mestre, located at Via Ca' Marcello 19, Mestre, Italy. On Booking.com, the price was €165 for 2 nights with breakfast for 2 people. On the Hopper app, I saw the same offer for €155. Then I found it for €145 on eDreams, with the same conditions. To save €10, I booked through eDreams for €145, but it turned out to be an eDreams Prime deal, which I paid for yesterday. After completing the booking and waking up this morning, I noticed that €99.99 had been charged from my account. I did not want to keep eDreams Prime. They told me I had to pay the difference between a normal eDreams booking and the Prime rate, which is €45, meaning I’m now paying a total of €190 for two nights at the A&O Hostel. Instead of saving money, I ended up paying more. I even had the 15-day free trial and took screenshots of everything. I’m requesting a refund. I don’t want to keep eDreams Prime because I don’t need it. If it wasn’t a trial, it should have been clearly stated. Instead, it said I had a 15-day trial and could cancel anytime. Yet, the money was taken on the second day.
