HP Victus 16 Hall Sensor Fault Makes Laptop Unusable
I purchased my HP Victus 16-R0037NT (7P643EA, 6 GB RTX 4050, Intel i7-13700H, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, 16.1” FHD 144 Hz) laptop from Hepsiburada around December 2023–January 2024. For about 5–6 months I have been experiencing a hall sensor related problem, but in the last 3 days the issue has become constant and the device has become almost unusable. The screen turns off by itself, the computer randomly shuts down and does not correctly detect the lid status. This makes it impossible to use the laptop efficiently. I took the device to a repair shop and was told that the problem is caused by the hall sensor and that this is a chronic issue. I was given a repair quote of ₺9,000, which is extremely high for a chronic fault and corresponds to almost one third of the product’s price. I have not yet taken the device to HP authorized service, because the technician stated that, as the device is out of warranty, the authorized service would most likely give a similar price. For a device in this price range, I find it unacceptable to experience a chronic hardware fault in such a short time and to be faced with such a high repair cost. I request that HP and, if applicable, Hepsiburada support me with a free repair, or at least a significantly discounted and reasonable repair cost, or a product replacement option due to the chronic nature of this fault. I kindly ask you to review my situation, take into account that this is a known chronic hall sensor issue, and provide a fair and solution-oriented response as soon as possible.
