We purchased a Bosch freezer less than a year ago, but after a power trip the unit developed a strong, unpleasant odor. I immediately contacted Bosch technical service, explained the situation clearly, and asked if there was anything they could do. I was told that a technician needed to come, and if it was deemed consumer fault, I would be charged—which I fully understood and accepted. However, when the service team arrived, they simply said, “There is nothing we can do. You just need to pay for our visit, and you must also purchase this cleaning product.” My spouse ended up paying all charges. While I understand the service fee, it is unacceptable that no solution was provided at all, and the cleaning product was sold to us at twice the online price. Despite the freezer still being under warranty, Bosch offered no repair, no guidance, and no resolution—only unnecessary charges. This feels like taking advantage of customers instead of providing professional service. I am very dissatisfied and demand that Bosch address this unfair treatment and refund the unjust costs.
