No Response From Booking.com Customer Service Email Or Phone
I booked a 2 bedroom casa rurale for 2 weeks in Tenerife through Booking.com in December for a trip in February, which was confirmed then. A few days ago, they cancelled my reservation with no explanation. I cannot find similiar accomodation at the same price at this late stage. Booking.com offered an alternative which was €41.35 more expensive but as it seperated our children so it was unacceptable (we need 2 bedrooms, 2 twin beds & 1 double, they gave us 1 double, 1 twin and 1 couch bed in the living room). I found appropriate accomodate for us for €250 more expensive but they will only refund us €41.35. I have been trying customer service and their complaints resolution but they are refusing to engage with me. I tried calling the number many times, was on hold for over 10 mins, no answer. I can't get talking to a real person to ask them to please refund me the €250. There is no online chat facility on their site. Please help as it is distressing.
I was advised by a friend to contact booking.com on Facebook and DM them. I did so and someone responded immediately and sorted out my complaint instantly. They were very understanding and helpful. Between us we found another suitable accomodation so we're a happy family again. Thank you for allowing me to raise a complaint with them!
