Booking.com Canceled My Hotel Without Consent and Still Hasn’t Refunded ₺58,000

Over two months ago, I made a hotel reservation through Booking.com. Just one week before check-in, Booking canceled my reservation without my consent. When I contacted support, they told me that if I rebooked the same hotel at a higher price, they would refund the price difference after my stay.

I followed their instructions, stayed at the hotel, and sent all necessary documentation. But Booking.com attempted to refund the amount in euros to my USD account, so the transaction failed. Later, they told me they would issue the refund as Booking credit, and I could easily transfer that to my bank account. I accepted.

I carefully followed all instructions and initiated the transfer. Booking.com’s website showed that the transfer was completed, but it has now been 15 days, and the ₺58,000 refund still hasn’t reached my account.

I contacted my bank (Enpara), and they said they can’t track the payment using the ARN number Booking provided without additional info. Booking.com’s customer service has been either completely unreachable or gives repetitive excuses like “We emailed the finance team.” Meanwhile, my emails go unanswered.

I’ve been chasing this refund for two and a half months, and the lack of transparency, accountability, and professionalism is shocking for a company of this size.

I am urgently demanding a complete and immediate refund of ₺58,000 and a clear explanation for the failure of this transfer. If this matter isn’t resolved right away, I will be forced to escalate this case through legal channels and formal consumer protection authorities.
