I Canceled My Paris East Hostel Booking on Booking.com But Didn’t Receive Full Refund

I had to cancel a reservation I made through Booking.com for Paris East Hostel in Cairo, but unfortunately, I did not receive a full refund. Even though I canceled the booking and never stayed at the property, I was still charged a significant portion of the amount.
I understand that cancellation policies may apply, but it’s extremely unfair to be forced to pay for a service I never used. I contacted support, but nothing has been resolved, and no explanation was provided for why the full amount wasn’t refunded.
This experience caused unnecessary financial loss and frustration. I intend to take further action through the appropriate legal and consumer protection channels if I don’t receive a proper refund soon. I expect Booking.com to review this case fairly and issue the remaining amount without delay.
