I Booked Twin Beds via Booking.com But Was Forced Into a Double Bed in Coron
On April 2, 2025, I made a reservation through Booking.com for a 2-night stay in Coron, Philippines, specifically requesting two separate single beds in two rooms. I double-checked the reservation multiple times to ensure everything was correct. However, upon arrival at the hotel, they insisted on giving us a double bed instead of twin beds, completely disregarding the reservation details.
When I showed them my confirmation, the hotel staff claimed their records didn’t match mine. The worst part? The hotel told me to contact Booking.com, while Booking.com told me to speak to the hotel. I felt completely abandoned and stuck in the middle of two parties passing blame.
I chose Booking.com because I trusted their platform—otherwise, I would’ve just booked directly with the hotel. I reached out to customer service, expecting some kind of resolution, but received zero support. This is not acceptable.
I demand Booking.com take responsibility and resolve this issue immediately. I paid for a specific room configuration and was denied what I booked. If Booking is going to let hotels ignore confirmed bookings, what’s the point of using the platform at all?
