Booking.com Let Bonita Residence Cancel My Reservation and Left Me Stranded

Hello, for our trip to Montenegro (Kotor) from December 27 to 31, we booked a place called Bonita Residence through Booking.com. Just half an hour before arriving at the property on December 27, Bonita Residence canceled our reservation with various excuses, likely because they overbooked and gave our room to someone else. I contacted my bank, which confirmed that there were no failed transaction attempts on my card. I then contacted Booking.com’s Turkish customer service and waited 16-20 minutes on two separate calls for them to resolve the issue. However, they couldn’t provide a solution or offer any alternatives. They promised to get back to me but never did. As a result, we were left without accommodation and stranded during the busiest New Year’s season, when most hotels were fully booked. We had to make an urgent, last-minute reservation elsewhere, which cost us an entire day of our trip. Booking.com is a huge disappointment and does not stand behind its service. I recommend using Airbnb instead to avoid such risks.
