Booking.com Canceled My Bonita Residence Reservation Last Minute – Left Without Lodging
For our trip to Kotor, Montenegro, from December 27-31, we booked a stay at Bonita Residence through Booking.com. Shockingly, just 30 minutes before our arrival on December 27, Bonita Residence canceled our reservation with excuses that were clearly untrue. Most likely, they overbooked and gave our room to someone else. My bank confirmed there were no issues with my card, contradicting their claims.
I contacted Booking.com’s Turkish customer service twice, waiting 16-20 minutes each time, but they couldn’t resolve the issue or provide an alternative. They promised to follow up, but as of now, we were left without lodging and stranded. Since it was New Year’s, most hotels were fully booked, forcing us to make a rushed and expensive last-minute reservation.
Booking.com failed to stand by its customers or the reliability of its services. This ordeal cost us an entire day of our trip. I strongly urge others to consider Airbnb instead of risking such unreliable service with Booking.com. I demand a full explanation and compensation for this unacceptable experience.
