Bonita Residence Booking Canceled, Hotel Closed Without Notice

I reserved 4 rooms for January 1–3, 2025, at Bonita Residence in Kotor through Booking.com. Immediately after booking, the hotel sent a message stating payment would be collected in cash upon arrival. Despite entering different international credit cards for each reservation, all of which were active for foreign transactions, the hotel canceled our booking on the morning of January 1, claiming our cards were not valid for international payments.
Assuming this was due to their preference for cash, we went to the hotel at the check-in time only to find the property closed. After knocking, a woman opened the door and rudely told us to leave, stating the hotel was closed despite our confirmed reservation. This left 4 families, including children, stranded outside with no accommodation.
The hotel failed to mention its closure on Booking.com, and this lack of communication ruined our holiday. We trusted the positive reviews on Booking.com but were met with unprofessionalism and disappointment. I demand Booking.com investigate this issue and ensure such mismanagement does not happen to future customers.
