Booking.com is A Scam Trading Under A Global Brand Name

I am writing to raise a serious complaint about Booking.com suspending my account without a valid explanation while I still have several active bookings, including at least one that has already been paid for. On 14 January 2026, only a couple of hours after I booked and paid for an activity through Booking.com, my account was suddenly cancelled. The only explanation I was given was that my account was “affected by your booking history or the details you’ve previously entered.” Thanks to the tour guide having my phone number, I was able to complete the tour on 15 January 2026 directly with them, but this was purely due to their effort, not Booking.com’s support. At the time my account was cancelled, I still had four active bookings. One of these reservations was booked and paid for on 18 December 2025 for a stay on 5 February 2026. Because my account is suspended, I have lost access to manage these reservations through the platform, which is extremely stressful and inconvenient before my upcoming travel. I contacted Booking.com customer service and received the following response: “Unfortunately, your account has been affected by your booking history or the details you’ve previously entered, so we cannot proceed or assist you any further.” This answer is completely insufficient, as it gives no concrete reason, no example of any alleged issue, and no guidance on what, if anything, I am supposed to have done wrong. It also ignores the fact that I have confirmed and paid bookings attached to this account. From a company that presents itself as a global travel platform, I find this level of customer service and transparency unacceptable. As a result of this experience, I am no longer interested in having my account reactivated and will use other travel platforms in the future. My clear expectation is to receive a proper written explanation of the exact reason my account has been suspended, instead of vague references to “booking history.” Since I no longer wish to use Booking.com and do not want any of my active bookings to be honoured through the platform, I request a full refund for all my paid and active bookings linked to this email address: mickeysonthel****@gmail.com. I ask that this situation be reviewed urgently and that I be given a clear, detailed response, as well as full refunds for all affected reservations.
