How Poor Papa Johns Service Nearly Forced Me to Overpay for Pizza
On July 19, 2026, at 5:29 PM, I placed order #335932863 for a Large Super Papa's pizza totaling $12 from the Papa Johns Pizza İstanbul Güneşli branch. I selected credit card payment at the door as my payment method.
The order took a long time to arrive—about 70 minutes. When the courier arrived at my door, he demanded $16 from me. When I pointed out that the app showed a total of $12, he insisted that he had to collect the higher amount listed on the physical receipt. At that point, I told him we should either cancel the order or call the store. He called the restaurant, and after the staff member on the line instructed him to charge the price shown on the customer's app, he finally collected the correct $12.
Furthermore, because the courier showed up with a broken card reader, I couldn't pay with my credit card and was forced to send the money via wire transfer instead. In the end, I wasn't overcharged and suffered no financial loss; however, I request that staff exercise much greater care regarding improper billing attempts and non-working card terminals so these situations don't happen again.
