Booking.com Canceled My Hotel Reservation and Ruined My Family Trip

Between August 18, 2025, and August 22, 2025, I had an international reservation at Hotel Potos through Booking.com (Confirmation No: 6317950028). My reservation was confirmed on August 17, 2025, at 22:08, but the following morning, on August 18, I received emails from the hotel at 08:46 and from Booking.com at 09:00 stating that my reservation had been canceled. Since I was traveling between countries at the time, I did not see these emails in time. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist directly informed me that my reservation had been canceled. Although we did not suffer a financial loss from the booking itself, my family and I—four people in total—were forced to spend the first day of our holiday searching for a new hotel and settling in. This situation caused us both emotional distress and, naturally, additional financial loss. I request a detailed explanation of the reason for this cancellation, as well as compensation for the inconvenience we experienced.
