Booking.com Approved My Thailand Refund but Never Paid the 34,992 THB
I made a reservation via Booking.com for the property Beyond Kata in Phuket, Thailand, for the dates 10–18 April 2026. The total amount I paid for this stay was 76,032 THB. Within the scope of Booking.com’s price equalization policy, it was clearly stated that I was entitled to a refund of 34,992 THB, and on 6 April 2026, I received confirmation that this price difference had been approved. During my communication with Booking.com customer service, I was informed that the 34,992 THB difference would be refunded to my credit card. However, although almost one and a half months have passed since then, no refund has been made to my card and no amount has been reflected on my statement. Moreover, despite my subsequent attempts to resolve the issue, I was most recently told that they “cannot refund to my credit card,” and I have not been given any clear or satisfactory explanation as to why this refund, which was previously approved, has not been processed. I have been directly harmed by Booking.com’s failure to comply with its own price equalization policy and by the prolonged, unclear process. I demand the immediate payment of the 34,992 THB price difference to my credit card as initially promised, along with a clear written explanation of the reason for the delay and the contradictory information provided, and an apology for the lack of information and the inconvenience caused.
