BMW 116i Engine Overheated Without Warning

At about 60 kilometers per hour, my 2012 BMW 116i decided to start acting up. The engine began to overheat, giving off a pungent odor of melted plastic, but no warning lights illuminated. I pulled over to the shoulder of the road as soon as I realized there was a problem. After noticing that the car was extremely hot and had apparently blown a gasket, I checked the dashboard, but to my surprise, there was no indication of any problem. It's not a secret that this is an "egregious and hidden defect" on our end. Please do what needs to be done as soon as possible. Those who have had trouble with their BMW 116i are not alone. The time has come to deal with this critical issue and hold BMW responsible.
