On July 2, 2025, I purchased a one-month Pilates program through the BetterMe app on my iPhone for ₺179. I only used the program once and never opened the app again. However, when I reviewed my credit card statements, I noticed two unexpected deductions: ₺350 on August 15 and another ₺350 on September 3, totaling ₺700.
I never authorized auto-renewal, nor did I save my card details in the app. These recurring charges happened without my approval. On September 4, I canceled the membership in the app and requested a refund, but the support team refused unless I provided photos or videos proving the app “did not work.” Since I barely used the app, providing such proof is impossible.
Despite the cancellation, the unauthorized deductions were not refunded. From other complaints I have seen, it appears that BetterMe often continues billing users even after cancellation, which is deeply concerning.
This situation has left me frustrated and financially affected. I expect BetterMe to issue a full refund of the ₺700 taken without consent and ensure that my account is fully canceled so no further charges occur. The company should also fix its subscription system to prevent customers from being charged after cancellation.
