Amazon Order Status Complaint
For the past two to three months, my regular Amazon packages have consistently been delayed whenever they are routed through the Grantsville, MD hub instead of the previous route via Duncansville and then USPS to my address in Bedford, PA. My packages typically arrive 2–3 days late, and I have noticed that they often leave Grantsville, get returned there, and are then resent again, which makes no sense from a routing or customer service perspective. In some cases, orders have been marked as “delivered” in my Amazon account even though they were still delayed or not actually with me at the time, which is misleading and very frustrating. I tried to get help from Amazon customer service, but I was not able to obtain any direct contact information or a phone number for the Grantsville hub, and I have not received a satisfactory explanation for why this change in routing was made or why these recurring delays are happening. I believe the Grantsville hub is the source of the problem, and I am very dissatisfied with the current situation. I request that Amazon investigate the issues at the Grantsville, MD facility, provide me with a clear explanation for these repeated delays and incorrect “delivered” statuses, and either revert my deliveries back to the previous USPS-based route or ensure that the Grantsville route functions without unnecessary returns and delays. In addition, given the ongoing inconvenience over the last few months, I believe some form of compensation for these repeated delays would be appropriate.
