I Bought a Vitra Toilet Seat—The Hinge Broke in 2 Years

I have a Vitra-brand toilet seat that was installed in my home by the contractor during construction. Unfortunately, in less than two years, the hinge broke, rendering the seat unusable. I am extremely disappointed—a brand like Vitra should not have products that fail so easily under normal use.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I couldn’t find a replacement part anywhere in my district, Turgutlu. I searched multiple stores and suppliers with no luck. It’s unacceptable for a well-known company to sell a product with no accessible after-sales support or spare parts.
This clearly seems like a manufacturing or material quality issue, and I strongly believe it should be covered under warranty. The fact that it broke under normal conditions in such a short time is enough reason for Vitra to take full responsibility.
I urge Vitra to honor their brand reputation, stand behind their product, and send me a replacement hinge or toilet seat at no cost. Customers should not be left stranded without solutions for basic home fixtures.
