Last year, we decided to renovate our summer house and chose to invest in a Vitra toilet along with a slow-closing toilet seat. We had confidence in the brand and were willing to pay a premium for their products. Because of our limited usage, the summer house is only occupied for a maximum of 15 days annually. Unfortunately, this year the toilet seat, which had been used for a total of 60 days between 2020-2021-2022-2023, decided to break. Since it was no longer functional upon our arrival, we had no choice but to remove it. Don't let the 60 days of use fool you; being a summer house, we spend most of our time outdoors, and there are only two of us. Even if two individuals perform the task multiple times each day, the total number of opening and closing operations would not exceed 240. Why did I end up paying significantly more for a seat from the Vitra brand, only to have it retire after just 240 operations? Shouldn't the R&D department have informed us, the paying customers, about the product's limited lifespan of 240 operations during testing? Based on your description, I am uncertain about the course of action you will take regarding the toilet seat I used for a short period. Unfortunately, my trust in Vitra has been compromised. I would appreciate a prompt response regarding this matter.
