Viomi vacuum randomly shuts off mid-clean — how can I prevent this?

Problems with the battery are common reasons why Viomi vacuums stop working in the middle of a clean.

The robot may stop working all of a sudden if the battery is worn out or not charging all the way.

Check the Mi Home app to see if the battery is draining too quickly, and clean the charging contacts so it can reconnect and charge properly.

Overheating can also cause the computer to shut down automatically. Clean the filters, empty the trash, and remove any hair or other debris that is stuck on the brush or wheels to keep the motor running smoothly and the airflow consistent.

As a result, the vacuum should be updated through Mi Home to get the most recent bug changes. Ignore the current map and let the robot remap if it still happens. Corrupted maps can lead to restart loops.

Lastly, make sure the dock is in a cool, well-ventilated area and that the robot doesn't spend too much time on thick rugs, as this can aggravate the motor.

Even after restarts and cleaning, if the shutdowns keep happening, the battery might need to be replaced.
