I purchased a Vestfrost deep freezer from Vestel in 2020, and starting from the second year of use, I began experiencing persistent rusting and frost/ice buildup problems. About one and a half to two years ago, the company only replaced the rusted door, but even that process was problematic. They removed and reinstalled the door more than four times because the replacement didn’t fit properly. During one of the repair attempts, the technician laid the freezer on its side and struck the bottom edges of the door with a hard object. Eventually, they reinstalled the door to open in the opposite direction, but the rust on the side panels remained untreated.
I requested a full product replacement due to these ongoing issues, but my request was denied. Now it’s 2025, and despite having paid for an extended warranty valid until 2027, they still refuse to take meaningful action. They continue to provide excuses like “it’s a static freezer,” “the grounding is correct,” or “the environment might be too humid due to user error.” They claimed they would have replaced the product if the problem were with a single part, but since it involves the main body, they refuse.
These recurring problems have caused financial loss and emotional frustration. I can no longer trust this product or the brand. As the next step, I will escalate my case to the Consumer Arbitration Board. I will never purchase another product from Vestel again. I demand a full replacement of my defective deep freezer under warranty and expect a permanent resolution to this issue.
